Cambridge Primary curriculum, leading to Checkpoint exam

Children aged 5 may enroll at our school. The Cambridge Primary curriculum is for children aged 5 to 11:

Pupils will begin to acquire and develop reading and writing habits and numeracy, they will also learn the basic subjects defined by the curriculum:

  • English as a second language/ English as a first language
  • Serbian as a first language (Serbian national curriculum) / Russian as a first language (Russian curriculum)
  • Serbian as a second language/ Russian as a second language (Cambridge programme)
  • Maths
  • Science
  • Physical Education
  • Art & Design
  • Music
  • Design & Technology

If necessary, missing elements of the Serbian and Russian national curricula can be included in the curriculum of basic subjects (Maths and Science). During their schooling, pupils will be offered the opportunity of basic complex testing in English, Maths and Science. Testing is organised at the school at the end of the 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th year using Cambridge Primary Progression Tests. Additionally, if parents so wish, pupils may sit the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint, applied by Cambridge examiners. Finally, tests are held throughout the year in the pupil’s native language in accordance with the Serbian and Russian national curricula if pupils and parents so wish.
